Robert Sabuda - paper flowers centerpiece mockups for Sindy

Now I was pretty excited when Sindy approached me and asked if I could create for the famous writer and artist Robert Sabuda some paper flower center pieces for the book signing in May. She wanted the paper flowers to pop out from a book of Roberts. Now Robert has these gorgeous pop up book that are just amazing and mind boggling,he is a extremely talented artist.

Here are some pictures of the arrangement I created on a book binder that she gave me.The book binder would be more brightly colored.

I wanted a garden popping up from the book so add a bit of moss and note the butterfly and the bugs :-)!

Gardenia and roses Paper flower bouquet

I got an late order from Ashley for a paper flower wedding bouquet for her civil ceremony.She is marrying a soldier and she sent me this picture of the dress she will be wearing (gorgeous!)


so since the wedding is March 25th I needed to get ahead and make this one first.

It has a gorgeous color pallette of pale pink roses,and white gardenia's which she said she wanted in the bouquet and I added some hydrangeas and some filler and lo behold I have a beautiful paper flower bouquet for her.

I got a an order via etsy for a clay gardenia hair flower and here is what I created for her.I turned out sooo great that I thought I should be relisting it!

Jude's order : using paper flowers for her wedding

I finally am done wih Jude's order (I am way behind schedule again) and so ready to move on to another exciting order for another famous paper artist (more to come on that in my next posts) and then onto an anemone bouquet.

Now Jude's order had some large party flowers and lovely colors,she had asked for large mums (her favorites are mums) and I was hesitant in taking up that as I hadn't yet made any large mums but in fact they turned out pretty good! So Jude here are the mums! Picutres of mums in many sizes galore :-)

I got an email from Richard of Richard Des Jardins,NY for some samples of my large paper party flowers for a wall art he is planning to make.



He asked for a 12 inch ivory rose, an 8 inch white rose and some more smaller flowers and of course he liked the pink peony so much he asked me to add one of that too!

Large paper flowers for a wedding.

I was super busy trying to get ahead with Jude's order for large paper flowers for her wedding with other orders close at my heels again...Here are the latest flower that I created.The bride would hold a whisper pink peony seen below.It has sooo many petals that I lost count how many I included.It's 1 feet across and a a show stopper :-) peony with stamens in the center

The bridesmaids are going to be holding different kinds of large paper flower.Here are some shots of them.
She has asked for a large mum,large peonies,rose and marigold for the bridesmaids to hold.






The order also has small white mums and light pink paper peonies.

Jude's wedding with St Jude's paper flowers!

A few weeks ago a client came to me with a special name! Jude! I was really happy to hear the same name as my name and well as my business name which is named after St Jude the great patron of hopeless cases. I have had great favors that were received from my patron saint :-) hence in thanksgiving I named my business after him.


Anyway Jude has ordered flower for the entire wedding in white a and whisper pink,the pictures are following.

My house is in a riot of colors and is looking so beautiful with nancy's extra order of orange and yellow poppies and Jude's order.


The bridesmaids are going to be holding single large paper blooms in white
while the bride is going to be holding a whisper pink peony which is what I will be tackling next.

Anemone Wedding Cake Topper revisited for bouquets

I have been requested many times to make anemones wedding bouquets for brides.Anemones wedding cakes are the latest now in the bridal scene and I have about 3 bookings this spring for bridal bouquets with them and anemone wedding cake topper.I am really looking forward in making them.Here is the picture I think about 5 brides have forwarded me a very nicely decorated set of cakes.

Today I had an urgent request from a bride's wedding coordinator whose baker suddenly stood up on them and she asked if I could do a large anemone flower for the bride's cake.Th flower would be the only flower atop the cake and lo and behold she forwarded me the same picture! I thought I would give it a try in decorative clay and here is the result

I liked the idea very much especially for a bride on a budget! I think I need to find a cake "form" from somewhere to take pictures of flowers atop it.Right now my simple paper box will have to do:-)
