I have been quite smitten by the leather camelia's of chanel for a long time and was pretty interested to do a camelia in paper.After several tries I got something close to it..Here is my version in ivory.







The flowers are roses,camelias and lilies.

Large Chanel Paper Flower Wall inspired wedding wall

I am been quite busy!!!World of Posh NY an event design company enquired for huge paper flower and asked me if I could make them for a wedding on Sunday and here they are a sea of paper flowers that is filling up my home! The flowers are huge as in 2 feet and 3 feet and is for a backdrop wall for the reception.My is the bride going to be pleased with these!

Wedding bridal fair paper flower wall backdrop

I am slowly getting back up to wedding season again I think! and wow what snow storm we have had this year here in CT -close to 3 feet of snow plus sleet.It is really treacherous out there! and brr is it cold!

Anyway I had an email enquiry via Events by DECISIONS, Inc. if I could sponsor a wall of paper flower for their I thee wed bridal event I thought I could do it! Here is what I created -the theme was pink large paper flower in pink hues and large paper leaves.The event is on Jan 27 (my birthday date btw!)

I am sure everyone by now have seen the grand fashion show that Chanel did last year(?) with large paper flowers that are huge as backdrops.After that a huge resurgence in interest for paper flowers seem to have happened and I have been often requested to make these and I have quite clearly avoided them due to the lack of time and the labor involved in making them and ofcourse how cumbersome they are to ship..

this time the enquiry came all the way from Kuwait and my client sent me the same kind of huge paper flowers and I rethought and thought I should give it a shot..Here is a 2 feet yes 2 feet! across flower I made..The flower is made from white paper


and there are 2 leaves attached.These would look lovely in wedding photo booth backdrop,photo shoots for products,window displays for shops fronts etc..
